Sending the Notice of Request for Reevaluation

When a reevaluation is requested, a Notice of Request for Reevaluation must be sent to the student's parents or guardians.

To send the Notice of Request for Reevaluation

  1. Locate the student's profile.
    How?

  2. From the Actions bar, click Documents.

    A list of all documents for the student appears.

  3. Click Request for Reevaluation.

    The Request for Reevaluation appears.

    Note: If Request for Reevaluation is not already on the list, create the document.

  4. From the Actions bar, click the Select drop-down () icon.

  5. From the pop-up menu, click Notice of Request for Reevaluation.

    Note: If the Notice of Request for Reevaluation is not on the pop-up menu, do the following:

    1. From the Actions bar, click More Actions.

    2. From the pop-up menu, click Modify Document Setup.

      The Document Setup window appears.

    3. Check the Notice of Request for Reevaluation checkbox.

    4. Click the Accept button.

    5. From the Actions bar, click Request for Reevaluation.

    6. From the pop-up menu, click Notice of Request for Reevaluation.

  6. From the Actions bar, click Edit This Section.

  7. Click the calendar () icon next to the Date field and choose the appropriate date.

    Note: If applicable, check the different contact name checkbox and type a different contact name.

    Note: Use the lookup link to select the contact name from the database.

    Note: This checkbox will not appear in the printed version of this notice.

  8. Verify the parent or guardian's mailing address and make any necessary changes.

  9. From the Actions bar, click the Save, Done Editing button.

  10. From the Actions bar, click Save/Print Letter.

  11. Click the OK button to record sending the letter as an event.

    The event log appears.

    Important: The date the notice is printed is the date the notice is recorded in the event log as sent.

    Note: If the notice will not be mailed today or if a second copy of the notice is being printed and the event log does not need to be updated, click the Cancel button.

    Note: The send/print date is automatically recorded and the Description field is auto-populated. No other fields are required.

  12. Click the Accept/Print button.

    The Print dialog box appears.

  13. Select the appropriate printer and click the Print button.

    The document prints.

  14. Click the Back to previous screen link.

  15. From the Actions bar, click More Actions.

  16. From the pop-up menu, click Change the Status of this Document.

  17. From the Change status from Draft to drop-down menu, choose Final.

  18. Click the Accept button, then click the OK button.

  19. Fold the printed letter so that the address information appears through a window envelope.

  20. Mail the letter.
