Process overview: Annual review

All Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) must be reviewed at least once every year. For an annual review, you will create a new IEP document.

Process overview: Annual review 

  1. Create, finalize, and send the Notice of IEP meeting to the parent or guardian.

  2. Create the IEP document.

  3. Print the IEP meeting attendance page.

  4. Conduct the IEP meeting and have each participant sign the Attendance Page.

  5. Print the Attendance Page fax coversheet and fax the coversheet along with the signed Attendance Page.

  6. At the IEP meeting, determine if additional testing is needed.

  7. Select from below.

    If... Do this...
    New testing is needed
    1. When new testing is needed, the evaluation process must be followed.

    2. Create the Request for Reevaluation
    No new testing is needed
    1. Develop the IEP based on decisions made during the IEP meeting.

    2. Finalize the IEP document.

    3. Send a copy of the finalized IEP to the parent or guardian

    4. Place the student using CAP/SEC.

      Note: Once the IEP is finalized, data will be reflected in CAP within 24-48 hours.
