Creating an annual review

The Status of Annual Review report contains a list of all students who are due for an annual review of their Individualized Education Program (IEP). All annual reviews must be processed in SESIS.

Note: During the SESIS pilot, the Status of Annual Review report may not be fully functional right away. If a student's annual review is due, users must process the review in SESIS even if the student's name does not appear on the report.

To create an annual review

  1. On the SESIS home page, click Status of Annual Reviews in the Report section.

    Note: Students who are triggered in CAP for annual review will appear on this report.

    Important: During the SESIS pilot, students may not appear on this report. The annual review should be processed in SESIS if records indicate that the annual review is due. In this case, locate the student's profile and proceed to step 3.

  2. Review the report and click the magnifying () glass icon for the student you wish to work with.

    Note: You may also search for the student to access the student's profile.

    The student's profile appears.

  3. Review the Process Status section of the student's profile to verify that the student's process status is one of the following combinations:

  4. If the process status is not one of those three combinations, make the necessary updates in CAP.

    Important: Updates take approximately 24 hours. You will need to wait for the update to occur before proceeding to the next step.

  5. Send the Notice of IEP Meeting.
