Appointing a SESIS role assigner

For each New York City Department of Education (DOE) location that uses SESIS, one individual is appointed as the SESIS role assigner. For schools, this is the principal. For all other locations, this is the chairperson or head of the department. The SESIS role assigner has the authority to modify each individual's role in SESIS, which affects the user's privileges within SESIS.

The principal or department head may choose to delegate the task of role assigner to another individual. The principal or department head remains responsible for the actions of the role assigner, so this decision should be carefully considered.
