Student profiles in SESIS

All students who receive special education services have a record in SESIS. Student profile information is populated in SESIS from ATS. ATS is the system of record for all student profile data.

Access to a student profile in SESIS

SESIS users have access to view the profile for all students for which they are authorized. Authorization is based on a combination of the user's role and school or student affiliation.

When SESIS users are unable to locate a specific student, the reason may be one of the following:

• The user does not have permission to view the student profile.
  
  
• The student's ATS profile data has not been pulled into SESIS yet.
  
  
• The student does not have a profile in ATS (the student does not have a New York City ID (OSIS) number).
  
  
• There is a problem with the user's SESIS profile.
