Creating a manual event

A manual event must be created in the SESIS event log to record all parent or guardian outreach attempts or to record any other relevant event associated with a student's case in SESIS.

Note: The SESIS event log replaces the contact sheet that was used before the introduction of SESIS.

Note: Many events are automatically recorded in the SESIS event log and do not need to be manually created.

To create a manual event

  1. Locate the student's profile.
    How?

  2. From the Actions bar, click Events.

    A list of all events for the student's case appears.

  3. From the Actions bar, click Add New Event.

  4. In the Event Description field, type a description of the event.

  5. From the Log Type drop-down menu, choose the appropriate type.

  6. From the Link event to document drop-down menu, choose the appropriate document, if applicable.

  7. Click the Accept button.

    The new event appears in the event log.
