Faxing the Final Notice of Recommendation (FNR)
The Final Notice of Recommendation (FNR) indicates the school offered to the student and the special education services that the student will receive. It is provided to parents and guardians and reminds them of their right to visit the site before or after providing consent. The FNR is not created in SESIS, but a member of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team may choose to fax a copy of the FNR into SESIS, which is the system of record for the student's special education services.
To fax the FNR
- Verify that the IEP has been finalized.
- Verify that the program data migrated to CAP and SIS/SEC (Student Information System/Special Education Component).
Note: Program data usually migrates from SESIS to CAP and SIS/SEC within 48 hours.
- In SIS, click the SEC Placement link.
