Reviewing the Finalized Document Status report
When a document is created and finalized in SESIS, the data is transmitted to CAP within two to four days. This is necessary so that the appropriate data is available in CAP for placement and provider assignment.
Occasionally, an error occurs during this process and the data is not successfully transmitted to CAP. In some cases, the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team must correct the document before it can be successfully transmitted to CAP. The Finalized Document Status report provides status information for documents that have been finalized in SESIS and transmitted to CAP.
To review the Finalized Document Status report
| If the status is... | Do this... |
| Successful | The document data has been successfully transmitted to CAP. |
| Pending | The document is being processed but has not made it into CAP yet. It can take up to four business days for data to flow from SESIS into CAP.
|
| Action Needed | Go to TroubleShooting | The document data was not successfully transmitted to CAP because there is an error that must be corrected by the IEP team.
|
| Known Issue | The document data was not successfully transmitted to CAP. The technical team is working to resolve the issue without the need for the IEP team's involvement. |
