Deferring a case to Central
An Individualized Education Program (IEP) team may decide to defer a student to Central if they feel that the student cannot be served within District 75 programs.
If the principal or Committee on Special Education (CSE) chairperson certifies the referral, Central will review the student's file and assist in identifying New York State approved non public schools that may be appropriate for the student.
To defer a student to Central, the IEP team must complete the Defer to Central Package document in SESIS and have it certified by the principal or CSE chairperson.
