Creating an IESP

An Individualized Education Services Plan (IESP) is a plan created for a student who is eligible for special education services, resides in New York State, and is placed by his or her parents in a non-public school in New York City. These students are referred to as parentally placed students.

The IESP is equivalent to an Individualized Education Program (IEP), which is created for students who attend a New York City public school.

To create an IESP

  1. In SESIS, locate the student's profile.
    How?

  2. From the Actions bar, click Documents.

A list of all documents for the student appears.

  3. From the Create New Document drop-down menu, choose Individualized Educational Service Plan (IESP).

  4. Click the Go button, then click the Create button.

    The IESP document appears.

  5. Complete the IESP as you would complete the IEP.

  6. When all sections are complete, finalize the IESP document.
