Reactivating a student record

All student records in CAP were migrated to SESIS, including records for inactive students. Inactive student records can be reactivated in SESIS.

Students are considered to be inactive if they have been discharged, previously received services, referred but never received a service, or are active in ATS and de-certified. Unless a new referral is required, no action is necessary on an inactive student in SESIS.

ATS will remain the source system for all student demographic data and will populate SESIS with student profile data.

To reactivate a student record

  1. In ATS, verify that the student is shown as active or discharged.

  2. If the student is shown as discharged, activate the student in ATS.

Important: At the end of each day, the status in ATS overwrites the status in SESIS. The remaining steps allow you to update the status in SESIS, which is a temporary solution because it will be overwritten with the status as it appears in ATS. It is most important to make sure that ATS reflects the accurate status.

  3. Locate the student's profile.
    How?

  4. From the Actions bar, click Reactivate.

  5. Click the Reactivate Student button.
