Assigning per session cases

When the Children First Network (CFN) authorizes the use of per session staff for a special education case, the site administrator must assign the case to the appropriate staff member in SESIS.

To assign per session cases

1. Determine if the per session staff will perform an evaluation or develop the Individualized Education Program (IEP) document.

   If...	Do this...
   Evaluation	Locate the student's profile. How? Click the Documents () icon. A list of all documents appears. Click the Assessment Planning link. The Assessment Planning document appears. From the Actions bar, click the Select drop-down () icon. From the pop-up menu, click Site Administrator (Per Session). From the Actions bar, click Edit this Section. For each assessment type, do the following: Check the Assign Per Session Evaluator check box. A text box appears with a lookup link. Click the lookup link. Search for and select the evaluator. Click the calendar () icon and choose a date for the scheduled assessment. Indicate the scheduled time for the assessment. Click the Save, Done Editing button.
   IEP document	Click Staff from the left navigation bar. The quick search form appears. Search for the appropriate staff. Click the magnifying glass () icon next to the appropriate staff member. From the Actions bar, click the Select drop-down () icon. From the pop-up menu, choose Caseload. From the Actions bar, click Add to Caseload. The student quick search form appears. Search for the student. On the search results page, check the box next to the student's name. Click the green Add Students marked Below to Caseload button. From the Actions bar, click Caseload. All cases for the staff member appear. Note: If cases are missing, repeat these steps to add additional cases to the caseload.
