Recommending SETSS with a District 75 provider
Special education teacher support services (SETSS) are sometimes recommended
specifically with a provider from District 75.
To recommend SETSS with a D75 Provider
- In SESIS, open the student's most recent IEP and navigate to the
Recommended Programs and Services section
- From the Special Education Program/Services drop-down menu, select
Special Education Teacher Support Services (SETSS)
The screen refreshes and a second dropdown menu appears.
- From the new drop-down menu, select the content area for which SETSS
is being recommended.
- Under Service Delivery Recommendations, From the Provided By
dropdown menu, select:
- Community School Provider or D75 provider.
- Direct or Indirect service
- Individual or Group
- An appropriate language of instruction
- The Duration selection will default to Period.
- From the Location dropdown, select the appropriate location.
Note: Special Education Classroom should not be
selected if the student is in an inclusive setting. If the student will be
receiving individual instruction or will be outside of
the general education classroom, select Separate
Location. Otherwise, select General Education Classroom.
- Select the appropriate projected beginning service date(s). This
date should be no more than 10 days after the IEP meeting.
Repeat steps II - VII for each content area for which SETSS is being
recommended.
Important: When making a SETSS recommendation, even with a District
75 provider, you must select NYC DOE Community School in the Placement
section of the Special Transportation/Placement Recommendation section
of the IEP.
