Updating student demographic data in SESIS

SESIS contains data for special education students who live in New York City. For public and charter school students, demographic data is pulled into SESIS from ATS. For all other students attending approved non-public schools, the Committee on Special Education (CSE) chairperson must enter demographic data into SESIS.

To update student demographic data in SESIS

  1. Select from below.
If... Do this...
The student attends a New York City public or charter school
  1. The data comes from the student's ATS record.

  2. Contact the ATS administrator for the student's school to request the update.
The student does not attend a New York City public school
  1. The CSE chairperson is responsible for maintaining student data in SESIS.

  2. Contact the appropriate CSE chairperson to request the change.
